Through 4 doable lessons per week, the workbook examines the 5 major categories of lies found in the Smudged Pages book:​

1. Lies about Acceptance--We all have a need for community and a desire for belonging, but so often our identity comes from what others think of us or expect from us rather than what God thinks of us.
​
​
2. Lies about Performance--Our society places high value on what we do. Because of this,
many of us feel we must perform to an impossible standard, and we get our validation from
how well we do or do not measure up.
​
3. Lies about Failure--Often when we fail to measure up to "the standard," we beat ourselves up or determine to knuckle down and do better. Only we can't...so we end up in a cycle of false failure.
4. Lies about Expectations--We all have expectations of ourselves and others, of how life
ought to be, and even of God. But when these expectations are not met, we often feel
disappointed, angry, or betrayed which can lead to bitterness and hopelessness.

5. Lies about God--God is good and has a good plan for each of our lives, but when we don't have an accurate view of who God is and what He does, our relationship with Him and our identity suffer.

Using thought-provoking questions and relevant scriptures, these overarching lies are
exposed for what they are—spiritual strongholds. The Smudged Pages Companion
challenges you to take the next step in your spiritual journey by pressing into the Holy
Spirit and letting Him reveal what’s been hiding in the shadows. In addition, you will learn
how to apply the armor of God and engage in spiritual warfare to defeat Satan every day
of your life!
